SOUTH POL: Revealing the Sky in Polarized Light
SOUTH POL will be conducting a survey of the southern sky in polarized light. It will utilize the new 1-meter telescope installed at the Pico dos Dias Observatory of the National Laboratory of Astrophysics (LNA). A wide-field polarimeter designed by the IAG will be attached to the telescope. SOUTH POL is a collaboration between the IAG, LNA, INPE (Brazil), Radboud Un. (Nijmegen, The Netherlands), Un. of Tokyo and Un. of Hiroshima (Japan), and Chalmers Un. of Technology (Gothenburgh, Sweden).
